Bayside Blades Recreational Skaters Says
It’s getting nearer!
The Christmas Skate will be on Tuesday, December 23rd.
We leave from Brighton Beach train station (South Road) at 7:00pm, skate into the the city, have dinner at “TimeOut” in Fed Square, and catch a train back to Brighton Beach.
As this is a Christmas Skate, the wearing of Santa Hats and Antlers, and trappings that might be considered *elvish* are STRONGLY encouraged!
You will need: shoes, backpack, money, myki card, skates.
This skate is no longer or harder than any of our usual skates, it’s just all in one direction!
If you are from somewhere north/east/west of Brighton Beach, I suggest that you catch a train to Brighton Beach, and head home from town.
After a fun skate on Friday and Saturday, it is now time to pre-register for each session. Tam-ba-lam Slam needs to know who will be at each session. Please complete the Form, and join us this weekend;
The session will take you through some special drills. Last week we saw the Pacman drill for the first time. Why not bring a friend. Complete the booking for one and email us details of the other. We look forward to seeing you all this weekend.
It was great to see everyone out enjoying the park on Tuesday morning, Melbourne Cup Day.
Some of the skaters looking pretty happy on their skates…
Here is the current version of the SAVS 2015 Calendar
Save the date:
12th-18th January – National Speed Championships and Marathon
26th April – MSC Event 3 at MSAC
Congratulations to everyone who skated at the Marathon event yesterday. What a great race, with the weather 27deg on arrival, then cooling down just before the start of the race to a perfect 18deg. Yes, typical of Casey Fields there was a solid southerly wind blowing.
MSC Masters skaters placed 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 7th in a superb race.
